Since October 2007 many letters are coming to my website from the USA asking for more information about my performances in America from October until spring 2008.

American visitors say they see advertising for an SPBT tour and cannot find any confirmation on my website that I am visiting the USA. Nor can they find any confirmation that SPBT is touring the USA.

I am not touring American colleges or American Arts Centres, but so many letters are coming every week on my site, I will answer all questions as follows:-

Advertised as touring in American colleges and small arts centres with taped music is a company that has no connection whatsoever with Konstantin Tachkin’s St Petersburg Ballet Theatre – brand SPBT.

Between now and spring 2008, I am dancing performances in Europe. I would not be taking part in this type of US tour, which does not suit my reputation.

I am told, this confusion is due to misleading advertising that American colleges and Arts Centres place on their internet websites. When I hear about this, I tell my agent who contacts the venues immediately, demanding that any reference to my name in the publicity be removed, and that these US venues remove any links to the SPBT website.

I know SPBT is planning that I will come with them and our orchestra to New York in the near future. At present our company is in active negotiations with potential partners and investors to achieve this objective. As soon as the venue, date and programme is finalized, full details of my performances will appear on my site.

This forthcoming season has some very exciting venues and appearances. Irina is invited to perform as a guest with other international stars in the Stars of the 21st Century Gala in Paris on September 22, 23 and 24, and she returns to the Theatre Champs Elysees Paris with SPBT on October 17th in Swan Lake.

Among Irina’s performances around the world and on the UK tour, are dates where Kolesnikova is announced by her own name, including Glasgow (Royal Concert Hall), Cardiff (Wales Millennium Centre), Edinburg (Festival Theatre), Birmingham(Symphony Hall) and London’s Royal Albert Hall.
