PRIMA BALLERINA of the ST PETERSBURG BALLET THEATRE
In the autumn of 2004, to mark the 10th anni-
versary of SPBT, a magnificent book of photographs entitled “Irina Kolesnikova” was published. The album contains more than 100 photographs of the Prima Ballerina mainly taken by Nina Alovert the legendary Russian-American ballet critic and photographer and Vladimir Zenzinov a talented representative of the next generation of Russian photographers.
The photograph on the right is just one of the 100 beautiful shots included in the book.

…On every page of this book there are photographs of Kolesnikova on stage, at the barre and in rehearsal. She is portrayed in classical as well as modern roles. Alongside the photographs there are comments about her performances from critics from all over the world, comments from which one can only conclude that she is a world class ballerina…
