In 2006 the Saint Petersburg Ballet Theatre published in London a nice collection of photo-
graphs featuring Irina Kolesnikova in the form of a book of 15 post cards.Collection ¹ 1 consists of photographs of Irina in the following roles: Nikiya (La Bayadere), Giselle, Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Odette/Odile (Swan Lake) and Clara (Nutcracker). The collection also contains Irina’s biography and a few comments from the world’s press and from members of audiences who have seen her performances.
In many sections of the Gallery you can see photographs which were used in the preparation of this post card book for print.

I have not been so moved by any rendition of Odette as by yours, since I saw Dame Margot Fontaine perform, with Nureyev, in this role at Covent Garden in 1973.

Inspired by the successful publication of the photo album “Irina Kolesnikova”, in 2005 Saint Petersburg Ballet Theatre published a new book of photographs entitled “Stars of the SPBT”. It contains more than 160 photographs and comments from the world’s press on 15 of the company’s leading dancers. The album’s introduction is written by Jeffrey Taylor, himself a former dancer and now dance critic of the British national newspaper “The Sunday Express”.
