At Thirty-nine year old Kolesnikova’s Odette was just perfect.



The ballerina in the moonlight portrayed a beautiful swan.

Since she was nineteen years old, Kolesnikova has danced Odette/Odile in “Swan Lake” more than a thousand times, winning an international reputation. Her dancing showed that sometimes a ballerina’s age can be a weapon, not an obstacle. When she danced Odette, her subtle expression of a plaintive and beautiful swan was outstanding. Meanwhile, when she danced Odile, her near-perfect technique overwhelmed the audience.
